Starring a team doesn’t filter your game list down to just that team. It nudges ArenaSwap toward that team’s games when ArenaSwap decides what deserves your tab. Favoriting isn’t a one-time setup step either. You can add or remove favorites any time.
Star a team
You’ll get a first pass at favoriting during setup, on the Pick your teams screen. After setup, star or unstar a team from either of two places:
- The star icon next to a team’s name on any game card.
- The star icon next to a team’s crest on that game’s pre-game screen.
Both use the same star, filled when a team is favorited and outlined when it isn’t.
What favoriting does
Each favorited team in a game adds points to that game’s PowerScore. If both teams in a matchup are favorites, the bonus applies twice. Favorite team bonus, under Scoring in Settings, sets the amount per team and defaults to 10 points.
Favorited games also get a placement bonus that has nothing to do with PowerScore. A game with a favorited team pins ahead of every other game in its league’s section on the main screen, regardless of score.
Both effects turn off automatically for a game at halftime, in an intermission, or delayed. A quiet game doesn’t get pulled up the list just because your team is in it.
